Mission & VIsion
It is concerned with considering university policies, such as creating and canceling jobs, establishing colleges and institutes, and setting university systems and regulations. The membership of the Council consists of forty people, including twenty-one members from outside the university (including the Chairman of the Council) who are competent, specialized, and interested in education and national issues. They are joined to the university based on the recommendation of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and nineteen members from within the university, including the university director. His deputy, the university vice president, the secretary of academic affairs, the librarian, the dean of students, and eight other members elected by the Faculty Council, including at least three college deans. The Council's membership includes three people representing university employees, two of whom are non-faculty members and two student representatives.
